Reflective journal 20/10
Day: 6 Date: 20.10.20171. Things I learned and did today:
I was practising English tongue twisters on different sounds and it was funny but I think I can pronunce English words in a proper way. Besides we were checking our homework for today. We were required to transcribe the dialoge "memory work №2", intone it and make the tonogrammes. All these things I did not very well unfortunately so I was sorry to know that my tonogrammes were wrong ;( Then we did some online intonation and drill exercises.I understood the differenes between English tones finally!
2. For today, my English speech has the following features of Russian accent:
I was not always correct to define the tone of the sentence and It means that I often can't differentiate English tones and I do not always hear them properly.
3. I would give 3 points out of ten for my pronunciation today because I made some mistakes in online intonation exercises. So today I'll be critical enough of myself.
4. For today, English speech of my partner has the following features of Russian accent:
My partner was great at inline intonation! It's really good.So I can't distinguish some features at all.
5. I would give 10 points out of ten for my partner's pronunciation today because she was always right when we trained defining tones so it's worth to ask her how she did it.
6. Impressions for today's lesson:
It was funny to train tongue twisters. They really help to improve the pronunciation! But at the end of our lesson I was so exhausted and it was really difficult to pull myself together and finish it successfully. I'm really sorry :(
7. To improve my pronunciation, I should do the following task at home:
I think I have to train tongue twisters from the internet. It's axciting task and it's importatnt it really improves my pronunciation skills. Then I'm going to do drill exercises which we were trying to do in class again.
