                      Reflective journal 12/04 and 19/04

                                                       Day: 13   Date: 12.04.2018

1. Things I learned and did today: Today we read exercises on consonant sounds [dʒ]and [tʃ]
and transcribed the dialogue №6. Next we learnt typical intonation patterns for greetings.

2. For today, my English speech has the following features of Russian accent:
in my opinion it was not so fluent speech.

3. I would give 9 points out of ten for my pronunciation today because it was quite  right and I made a few mistakes.

4. For today, English speech of my partner has the following features of Russian accent:

My partner sometimes made mistakes in reading of exercises and she spoke not fluently enough.

5. I would give 7 points out of ten for my partner's pronunciation today because her speech had some features of Russian accent.

6. Impressions for today's lesson:

Today's lesson went as usual so we just got some new knowledge in English phonetics. 

7. To improve my pronunciation, I should do the following task at home:

I found out that my listening skills were not perfect. So I must do exercises to develop this skill. I'm going to listened to the podcasts on lingualeo.com and translate them.

1. Things I learned and did today: Today we read exercises on consonant sounds f and v. Then we analyzed some sentences and repeated them altogether. Next we watched our videos with the memory work №6 and discussed them.

2. For today, my English speech has the following features of Russian accent:
I sometimes pronounce the sound V wrong and I can make mistakes in the use of tunes.

3. I would give 7 points out of ten for my pronunciation today because it was quite good but there were some unpleasant features of Russian pronunciation.

4. For today, English speech of my partner has the following features of Russian accent:

My partner spoke not very well. She missed some cases of phonetic phenomena and confused the tunes. So she has the same problem.

5. I would give 7 points out of ten for my partner's pronunciation today because her speech wasn't good enough to put the highest score!

6. Impressions for today's lesson:

Now I'm rather sure about my reading skills so I'm not afraid to read the exercices with the consonants. That's why I started to feel better on the lessons. I notices that if you prepare for the lessons you do well on them and it is not so difficult to cope with the tasks!

7. To improve my pronunciation, I should do the following task at home:

I think I have to do shadowing the more the better. For it I'm going to watch my favourite cartoon in original. Also I must try tunes hard and I'll do it on the internet web-site our teacher gave some lessons ago.
