Day: 10 Date: 1.12.2017
1. Things I learned
and did today:
First of all we checked our
task on the sound LOT reading exercises to each other and then we should
evaluate partner's reading. Also working with the sound we did exercises to
learn how to differ British sound LOT and American one. Secondly we did some
dubbing on the 1st series of Downton Abbey. The rest of our lesson was about
how to use English tunes and we studied the table.
2. For today, my English speech has the following features of Russian accent:
maybe wrong use of tunes.
3. I would give 8 points out of ten for my pronunciation today because it was not great enough.
4. For today, English
speech of my partner has the following features of Russian accent:
My partner spoke great:
fluently enough and with English tones.
5. I would give 10 points out of ten for my partner's pronunciation today because her speech was worthy of the highest
score!
6. Impressions for
today's lesson:
It was really exciting
to be taught by a new teacher who is getting master degree now at my
university. It's great experience to listen to unknown accent.
7. To improve my
pronunciation, I should do the following task at home:
I think I have to do some shadowing.
Probably I'll watch two video on youtube.com and repeat phrases. Also I need to
read the sentences on the sound "lot" many times to pronounce
it well.
