Reflective journal 27/10
Day: 7 Date: 27.10.2017
1. Things I learned
and did today:
We practiced English vowel
[a]: reading the exercises on this sound. Then we checked our homework. We were
required to study the topic of weak forms in English. Сloser to the end of classwe we represented our videos
with the memory work №2 and analyzed them altogether. At the end we listened to
the song and sang it.
2. For today, my English speech has the following features of Russian accent:
When our professor analyzed our video, I found out
that I can't pronounce some of the tunes properly. They're more like Russian
ones.
3. I would give 5 points out of ten for my pronunciation today because I made some mistakes in tune pronunciation. Fortunately
I can pronuonce the vowel under study well enough.
4. For today, English
speech of my partner has the following features of Russian accent:
My partner was great at
reading exercises intonations in the dialogue! It was really good.So I can't
distinguish some features at all.
5. I would give 10 points out of ten for my partner's pronunciation today because she tried to do her best and she coped with the
tasks on the lesson very well.
6. Impressions for
today's lesson:
I start to like reading
exercises because I feel I can do it well. So my emotions are positive only.
Also it was amusing to sing a song altogether. We smiled each other and it was
pleasant.
7. To improve my
pronunciation, I should do the following task at home:
I think I must do the drill
exercises from the dialogue tasksand listened to the dialogue recording more.
It must help me to understand the proper pronunciation of tunes. Then I want to
find some other songs in British English and try to sing it. I
think I'll use the YouTube for it.
